After the success of the Plumb hybrid model, I decided to add my twist to another popular historic axe pattern.  The Jersey axe.  The original shape of the axe isn't optimal for competitive throwing due to the beard having an accute angle.

So I've flattened out the beard to avoid loss of points due to the axe digging in too deeply.  Additionally I made the curvature of the bit much shallower as too much belly is the consistent complaint I get for the Pluot.  Finally, just because I'm a huge of the look, I threw some phantom bevels onto the cheeks to give the axe a little more pizzazz. (The bevels don't show up in the rendering for some reason that I can't figure out)

I'm very excited about the potential for this design.  It has a fantastic melding of overall weight, blade optimization and a more compact design that will keep the weight of the axe closer to the boards.

This axe should meet the specifications and regulations for small axe competitions of most organizations. Those regulations are changing all the time though so if you're unsure, feel free to reach out!

By default, this axe comes with a single handle.  Additional handles can be purchased here. 

As an Infinity Axes special, this design incorporates a pinned handle design that allows for rapid replacement of handles.  The socket measures 1.25 inches x 0.75 inches with 1/4 inch radius corners.  You can choose to purchase additional handles with your axe head.  Regardless of choice we will also include a high strength roll-pin that will require the use of a punch to insert / remove.  The hole for the roll pins is 1/4inch in diameter, in our experience the roll pin, provides the best balance of strength and ease of replacement.
